Frequently asked questions…

We carry out a range of health and safety activities including site inspections, RPE fit testing, PPE inspection and PAT testing to help keep you compliant with current legislation.

We are based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, close to main routes to London and other areas of the UK.
We can visit you to carry out testing and inspections, in London, across the Anglia and East, and in to the Midlands.

Qualitative fit testing is a ‘taste test’ resulting in a pass or fail result based upon the wearers subjective assessment of any leakage through the face seal area of the mask by detecting the sweet or bitter tasting aerosol as the test agent. Qualitative testing is suitable for disposable and reusable half masks, but not full face masks.

Quantitative fit testing provides a numerical measure of how well a facepiece seals against a wearers face, this is called a ‘fit factor’. These tests give an objective measure of face fit and are suitable for disposable and reusable half masks and full face masks.

The fit2fit competency assessment process evaluates skills, knowledge and the experience of the fit tester. By using a fit tester who holds the fit2fit accreditation, you can be confident that your provider is competent.

Our inspectors hold NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, along with a level 5 diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice. Additional to this various short courses and a valid CSCS managers card.
